Buy your GE digital camera at The Bon-Ton Stores : General Imaging has announced the addition of The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. to the list of retailers carrying its products. The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., is now selling the GE A730 model at 263 of its stores that carry Home assortments in the Northeast, Midwest and upper Great Plains. In addition, the G1 model is available at the company’s websites. Bon-Ton’s e-commerce business is accessible online and through the websites of the company’s six other nameplates: Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers. “Bon-Ton helps put us in front of more consumers in key markets,” said Rene Buhay, General Imaging’s senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. “This is a great opportunity for us to further extend our brand.” All GE digital cameras boast sleek and intuitive design, as well as an array of popular, advanced functions as standard features, including face detection, image stabilization, red-eye removal, 1600 ISO sensitivity, and panorama stitching - all of which are embedded in the camera. Panorama stitching is proving to be an especially popular feature, allowing the user to join three images together seamlessly to take in landscapes and other wide vistas.

“Bon-Ton gives us a great retail partner in a very important part of the country,” said Hiroshi “Hugh” Komiya, chairman and CEO of General Imaging. “We’re excited about adding such a high-level retailer to our team.” The GE A730 includes features one would expect from a much more expensive camera, including 7 megapixels of resolution, a 3x zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. The G1 offers 7 megapixels, a 3x zoom and a 2.5-inch screen as well, but its drawing card is its ease of handling and pocket-friendly dimensions (3⅝ inches wide x 2½ inches high).

I believe General Imaging will be a long-term partner for Bon-Ton.”
